Screening formally closed, trial to conclude last week of September

The clinical trials website was updated last week, confirming that screening for the trial has now officially closed:

Based on prior disclosure by the company it looks like FTT will announce recruitment has closed some time next week.  I expect this announcement to be a significant catalyst for the stock.  Presumably some of the strong price action this week reflects investors positioning themselves ahead of this announcement.

If the last patient to join the trial starts next week then the trial will be complete by the last week of September or the first week of October.  Readout of the clinical results would then be announced around mid-October.  The health economics data package won't be ready until January given it relies on an additional 12 weeks of patient follow-up post treatment.

Personally I've been a shareholder in FTT for two and half years now and in retrospect this was far too early an entry.  But it is very pleasing that the prospects for the company have never looked better as we enter into the final  12 week stretch before the trial completes.  Exciting times!
