As someone living on the Southside, I'm miffed by where it comes out on the Northside and wouldn't see the need to use it to connect to anything. For those living on the Northside around Clayfield, Albion, Ascot etc, and up the Lutwyche corridor it does provide good access South onto the Motorway (to the Gold Coast).
