I actually have a lot of time for Chappell and Hohns as selectors and I think their selections were mostly reasonable tho I've thought for a while you shouldn't play the Marsh bros together given they are both shaky starters. Stoinis can inflict pain with the willow and doesn't lack confidence. His bowling has improved no doubt. Maxwell needs to grow a brain and let go of the idea that he has too many choices as a batsman. He doesn't. He looks like a tool when he moves around the crease. Hopefully captaining a side sorts him out. Everyone would love to see him fulfil his talent. I hope the selectors chuck Pucovski in for the Sri Lankan tests. Time to get a bit brave. The current crop have all got their problems and most of them have played test cricket and been dumped. Pucovski has already shown he can bat time and the older Victorian players rave about him. Let him learn at test level if Shield isn't tough enough.
