Members, a few have been posting about horrible scam ads that have arrived uninvited on their screens.
We now, thankfully, have a solution for those experiencing the issues on the Chrome browser.
Some are Telstra, but many say your computer is infected and are going to try to scam dollars.
Note that you do not ever need to open them, or be concerned about your computer. It is pure scam.
All members who have experienced this redirect scam:
Please upgrade to the latest version chrome browser for any user experiencing the redirect ads.
Google released a protection for the chrome browser in version 68 to stop the "Redirect Ads".
It has nothing to do with any virus on your systems.
This is an industry wide problem, not simply affecting HotCopper, but sites all over the web, large and small, and so pernicious that Google was forced to change the browser to deal with it.
Sorry it's taken so long to find any solution, but let's hope you can get there now.
To access your information on version etc, you go to your help settings.

I have an auto update on mine, which is obviously why most of us weren't seeing this issue.
If your browser is NOT up to date, I presume you'll get an update click option to the right of where mine says up to date.
