I have read the attachment http://www.asx.com.au/professionals/pdf/asx_trade_new_order_types.pdf. The following two features catch my attention: 1. Pre-trade anonymity orders are hidden- This means that if there are orders for sale at say 28.75 we can't see them. Conversely if there are buy orders at 28.75c we can't see them
2. A Centre Point Order will only trade with another Centre Point Order. This means that even though there could be shares for sale at 28.75c, ordinary retail holders cannot buy them at that price because they cannot create a Centre Point Order using their retail broking platform.
Essentially, retail shareholders cannot take advantage of centre point prices.
Can anybody confirm my interpretation?
