US gold ETF GDX has decided to include SBM in its index and bought a heap of shares - we should see their significant shareholder disclosure notice early next week.
So two things have happened recently to push up the share price - SBM has entered both the ASX200 index and the GDX, which covers the larger international gold miners such as NCM, Barrick, etc. - see current list of GDX holdings
