I have worked hard to achieve a negotiated outcome.

Unfortunately, there is a determination amongst the other shareholder group to push ahead with their plans to control the company. They have ignored a key request made by our largest partner. They have ignored the strong desire of the SMT for myself to have a continuing role on the Board. I have not been given any explanation other than a desire to have “clean air” as to why I should resign.

It is critical for the success of OIL that we have a Board that can engage in robust, informed decision making about the way forward.

I would urge all shareholders to consider their vote carefully. Online proxy voting, including the ability to change previously lodged votes is open until 5pm AEST Tuesday 8th May. The General Meeting is scheduled for 3pm on Thursday 10th May at Level 18, 600 Bourke St Melbourne.
