    No, that's not what I'm saying.

    If the 3.09g/t Au result is simply the average of the 7 x 0.28m samples taken (which is not 100% clear), then the sampled interval (as a composite) is 1.96m. Their intersection is therefore 1.96m @ 3.09g/t. They did not continuously sample 28.5m, and therefore gain an interval of 28.5m @ 3.09g/t, as a glance at the table suggests. Can you imagine if 0.3m of a drill hole was sampled every 5m then the results extrapolated to full length intersections?
