"Mizzy – Stewards considered an objection lodged by A Adkins the rider of second placegetter Mizzy, against Danawi (J Innes Jnr) being declared the winner alleging interference from the 400m to the 200m. After considering the evidence Stewards found that soon after straightening Danawi commenced to shift out in search of better going and in doing so Mizzy was then shifted out when positioned close to the heels of Danawi. Stewards found that Mizzy had not established running to the outside of Danawi prior to Danawi commencing to shift out and furthermore near the 250m Mizzy momentarily shifted out and away from Danawi which shifted out marginally, however due to the minor nature of this incident the Stewards dismissed the objection."
