Personally I think that there is a lot of interest in VBA at the moment because of the news that Sydney and Canberra airport is urging ACCC to reconsider the alliance. And also there is the benefits of the high AUD as I read somewhere that Virgin Blue pays most of its costs in USD and for every 1c increase Virgin make a $2m profit.
Everything else is just speculation atm.
