Its not really Santa fe and IGS, its more just the former that will hold the bulk the board and stock, the fact that igs are conducting the transaction with high cash and low ev does not speak well for the relative value of the igs projects. Looking at Santafe (SF) projects, debt (not clear how much), acquisition and exploration financing its clear this merger is more a back listing of SF to gain access to the igs cash, larger index and capital markets on the asx to fund Summit, Mogollon and Ortiz projects (over half the current value of IGS will be diluted by placements and advisor shares).
SF had delays with the Columbus Silver/Mogollon and Ortiz projects, not clear what occured between SF and Columbus silver during 2010 to 2012....The result is SF pays Columbus silver cash for only the Mogollon project and merges with IGS instead of Columbus.
Could be good exposure to gold and silver but its a wait and see atm. SF need to confirm Summit ramp up is on track.
