The key point is that high international prices keep imports out of the Aus market which protects domestic pricing. If the international price is sufficiently above the domestic then exports become an attractive route to market. There is no downside to high international prices that I can see.
Higher profits gives TGR more money to invest into sustainability projects. Presumably Graeme Wood would rather see the worlds shrinking population of wild salmon fished into extinction?
