By bail I take you mean sell and walk away but selling may not necessarily be bailing and loyalty costs money.
In share trading there's lots of ways to work the market and short selling all or part of you holding can be either used as an opportunity to increase your holding and/or insurance against a vile sp slashing (for what ever reason).....or both.
That of course is subject to whether you feel the price will move down and by how much.
You must be a slick sales person to get you friend to invest as the sp goes down and I'm sure he'll ultimately make money.
Actually you seem to have the communication knack so I would suggest that you apply for the communications officer job at TRF.
They sure need a good one. A real good one.
