Famers better be careful about how much they push for AWB changes...the WTO is trying to take away the monopoly rights.
This would stuff up the buying power of the farmers...I think theres other agendas here...farmers could all get picked off regardless if the states reduce subsidies.
WTO said this:
"AWB's future would be discussed "the moment we come to the fine print on the agreement on export subsidies and export competition and the elimination of subsidisation by state trading enterprises," Mr Lamy said."
Noone cares about AWB's iraq thing, their just using it to takeover another part of the market *again*
Better hope Johnny H doesn't screw the farmers over by getting subsidies in a heavy export area cut by america...and they screw over the wheat industry here which doesn't provide as many exports.
