The dividend will support the price around here (unless they downgrade it then we all head for the exits)
AWB wont lose its monopoly because all the directors are leaving, with new management, new things in place for more independance i.e. AWBI and complete cooperation with the government.
John Howard isn't going to legislate against a company to destroy it (temporarily weaken it yes). However I can see some massive reforms to monitor AWB in the future. This could be very costly in terms of meeting new standards perhaps?
The public will still want retribution so this will no doubt end up with the Ex- directors/management who left, facing criminal action and the company getting fines.
UN would be hard pressed to be unimpressed with criminal action + fines + reforms put into place.
Johnny H will want to avoid cutting AWB out of the monopoly or he will trigger that break fee and yet another 10 years of legal battles will persue...this wouldn't be in the publics interest IMO.
