A report in Mineweb has indicated that Julius Malema the main and most influential proponent of nationalisation in South Africa has been indicted by his own party (ANC) and faces expulsion.
The report states: "Despite warnings nationalisation would bankrupt Africa's largest economy and is scaring off investors, the ANC cannot escape the subject, which is backed by factions in the ruling party and will be on the official agenda when it holds a major policy setting meeting next year".
It is suggested that the push for nationalisation will fade if, as predicted, Malema is forced out of the Party which is hopefully good news for poor old PLA.
