    I stand corrected.
    They have a process that converts MOP to beef up production. The link above suggests it is because of poor pond performance. Note they say that it drives up production costs.

    I can only assume that APC is trading off lower initial capex for higher ongoing opex.

    I still reckon you have a dog with fleas that won't be a pure evap producer and will never be at low end of opex.

    You clearly think you are on to a good thing but be honest and tell us that the 42ktpa of MOP being carted in was a shock. I reckon the market was surprised. Compass has much lower rates of evaporation so its easy to see why they might want to beef up production, what is APCs excuse? Capex v opex?
