"Approximately 60 million m³ of brine will be abstracted annually to produce 400,000 tpa of SOP. Brine will be collected from a network of shallow trenches across the lake and then pumped into shallow evaporation ponds to concentrate the brine by evaporation and crystallise out approximately 18Mt solid waste salts (halite) per annum and 2.9Mt crude potash salts. The total pond area required is approximately 4,000ha. Ponds will be constructed on the playa and occupy under 3% of the lakes surface area."

RWD are planning on pumping brine from the trenches into the ponds. What are AMN planning on doing????

I can't work out how AMN are going to get 370Ktpa from 66GL.
RWD would have to pump 55GL to get 370Ktpa. I can't see how AMN are going to get away with 66GL. Does Acecant's mates have the answer to that one? 20-25% better recovery?? Somebody is telling porky pies. 8 versus 13 Kg/m3?? That's a big difference. Help, we need Ace's mates!
