The French ship was caught right smack in the area where the missile strike was carried out by Isreal which where the fog of war occured. They could have still launched a missile in defense or with Isreal while the whole s#$%storm occured, but it doesn't look like it now. Yes indeed a dangerous game played hence why we need to wait for an offical defense force announcement then just rely on the media as a starting point.
