The actual news nobody is mentioning is the dirty deal between Russia and Turkey concerning Idlib.

As neither Rouhani nor Merkel wanted to see scorched earth there was probably nowhere else for this to go given the lousy relationship between the US and Russia. It all means that the turmoil of the (now rebranded) Al Qaeda mini-state is here to stay. No group will gain from this. As I've posted previously this mini-state may one day morph into a modern day Trojan Horse for Turkey.

There are no winners and there is nothing for anyone to brag about.
