Yes I sometimes wonder about Putin/Lavrov and Xi. With all their talk about "partners" and "common goals in the fight against terrorism" etc etc. Don't they realize that the US is out to destroy them thru war, or regime change and balkanisation at best ? And no you couldn't blame Putin if he became more "pro active".

But, I come at it all from a different angle. None of them are in a strong position, the drive to war comes from weakness and crisis, not strength, especially the US. The working class around the world have been in a straitjacket for 40 years but they are finally starting to organize, they could be the spanner in the works of the warmongers.
