Maybe I was correct to suspect the Chinese would only extend their economic hand to Erdogan if support for the Uighurs ceased and if Iranian and Russian conditions were met as well. Qatar presumably works as a middleman.

I have heard that the Uighurs seek to settle and not cause trouble with anyone. They have come to the wrong place and chosen the wrong ally IMHO and on that tangent I feel slightly sorry for them HOWEVER they will inevitably reap what they sow.

Will the Uighurs quietly move back into Hatay? Will Erdogan send their fighter back to China for probable execution? Only time will tell.
