Possible. I do remember a Russian comment that if full scale war erupted between Turkey and the Russians in Syria, that they would have to resort to nukes, being so far from home. But now they seem to be bosom buddies.
But still, if I was Putin I'd have a few cruise missiles with nuclear heads ready to go from Tartus.... just in case.
