I'm pretty sure it will. Nothing has been able to lift it, not the capital raising, not a plethora of great drill results, not even the relatively peaceful tranisition between leaders in the country.

Without western institutional investor interest in the stock there is really not any catalysts for upward share price movement IMO other than the occasion rally sparked by retail holders and triggered by people with enough liquidity to move the dial.

You may choose to ignore the article I posted on the other thread but when the DRC joins Venezuela at the top of the list in a new index designed to measure the risk of expropriation, the imposition of more stringent fiscal regimes, and pressure for companies to source goods and services from local providers, you are going to see western institutional/international investors become far more risk-averse to investing in the country, particularly in new unproven projects.

So you end up in a situation where like yesterday you have Russian planes landing in Venezuela carrying troops, ie Russia and China will fill the vacuum when countries decide to start down islolationist paths or start adopting isolationist policies. China doesn't come with planes and guns like Russia, it comes with roads and money but this amounts to the same thing from the West's perspective.

So AVZ ends up being a strange marriage between retail investors on the Australian stock exchange, vested interests of Australian consultants and Chinese state control interests. I wonder who will come out on top?

The best I think you can hope for IMO is if the Chinese throw you a bone sometime down the track like they did with GBG. $25 million take over after 12 years from signing a wide-ranging JV and development agreement sending the share price up from the 1.2 cents it had been ground down to, up to 2.8cents.

The best place to learn is from past experiences and case examples IMO and looking at the facts of the matter. Great resource but investors are alone with only the Chinese to trust. Esh
