I think it would require a few arms length "friends" to catch the falling fruit up to 4.99% each - Any 1% increase in sub holder notice by the option holders would spike the price - Chess is a game played between two opponents - the stock market doesn't play by those rules.
I expect there is next to zero chance they will exercise their 10c options
