get out of specs for a little while and get your confidence back with some small wins in less volatile stocks ... slowly, slowly ... grab some dividends, look for oversold stocks, grab an ETF, but stay observant of the spec stocks you know and start to but and sell the pips. Small gains ... take the 5 or 10% rather than believing the multi-bigger hype, and when you understand it all better start to wade back in a bit deeper
