CATL probably was hoping nearology would work, so they invested in Tantalex, now Tantalex acquired tailings (85-100Mt) in Manono project. I don't think tailings would be economically viable to produce spodumene. 4CE was pumped for nearology as well.
I'm waiting for someone to make a meaningful move, not waste money and time, trying to secure lithium supply at a minimal cost.

Ruihua/Ruiyou is controlled by the chairman of CATL's board.
