The PE527 copper project in DRC with budgeted US$147.2m and expected to complete construction and commence production in September 2019, are directly quoted from the official announcement from Huayou.
I did not say Huayou planned to take over AVZ!
The nickel JV plan will cost Huayou about US$700m. I don't know how they are going to fund this.
From my research, Mr Cong does not seem aligned with Chinese, he is more profit driven for himself, but his connections with DRC government and Chinese state-owned companies are incredible.
