Yep agree with cruzininafalcon
They probably found a thick alluvial layer hiding bedrock and geochem samples were inconclusive. I guess they would either need to auger / trench if they knew the depth was not too deep or they will have to RC drill it. They mention they have cleared a drilling fence line so it sounds like the latter perhaps.
