Hey guys,
I have heard another rumour that AGL are looking at entering a JV with GRK. Have you guys heard anything? GRK own the geothermal licenses around Olympic Dam and are currently evaluating the potential for a 400MW geothermal power station (staged up). BHP needs 690MW of power as part of its Olympic Dam expansion and with Carbon trading coming in geothermal would be an obvious choice as it is the only base-load zero emissions renewable energy source available today. GRK are currently in talks with a company about a JV to develop the project and I heard that it might be AGL.
