Thanks axman. Don't know about expert but I've made an effort this year to research my investments more thoroughly and happily share what I can through hotcopper. A few winners like RRL have given me more confidence that it is possible to be ahead of the market if you're willing to work for it and know what to look for.

Regis was a rare opportunity in the low 1s. A quality company with quality management that had some short term issues and was way oversold. It's the kind of stuff value investors always talk about it. Regis management not only built this company they also built a bunch of other successful gold companies. I know they lost the COO but I think he was really the scapegoat for the flooding incident.

$5 might be a way off without the $A gold price going to $2000. But like you say share prices are often about sentiment and as sentiment returns I'm confident that Regis will get back the premium in its share price for quality management and consistent operations. Now they've got growth options too, something that had been lacking for 18-24 months. If the market starts to price in growth then it could easily get a kick on.
