I have zero (no pun intended) sympathy for farmers and roundup.
For decades when I lived in potato areas - Dorrigo NSW then Tasmania where there are huge amounts of potatoes grown - it was very very very common practice to 'spray off' potatoes to get them to the market on time --
'spray off' means spray with glyphosate (round up) and kill the plant - so the potatoes can be harvested.
This was an open practice -
now - any goon who could read - it said proudly on the bottles and drums --
'Kills, right down to the root'
now - for the totally uneducated who have been in a coma since birth -- what is a potato?
oh, golly, - it's a root vegetable
