I understand that EOS are the only company with the technology and proof to be able to track space junk to the size of a marble / golf ball, and be able to alert satellite operators 12 hours before impact. This allows the operators to move the satellite and avoid collisions. Collisons could destroy the satellite costing hundreds of millions or more. False alarms also cost money, as each satellite move costs fuel and degrades the useful life of the satellite - that costs more hundreds of millions earlier than expected.

I understand that Lockeed have contracts to detect space junk, they cannot meet without EOS and indeed multiple EOS facilities in key points around the globe.

I also understand that their weapons technology is also tried and tested and other vendors have hit roadblocks in capability, serviceability and useability and thus affordability.

My understanding are from piecing together from multiple sources.

I agree, EOS needs the major research firms to start tracking.
