Robust Resources has focused in Indonesia because of: •Sound Economy - Largest economy in South East Asia ($550 billion GDP), lowest debt-to-GDP ratio in ASEAN (29%). •Political Stability - One of the world's largest free voting democracies (175 million registered voters) and decentralized countries with substantial funds and authorities devolved to the regions. •Investment Climate - Equal treatment of domestic and foreign investors for capital investment, new mining law is one of the most favourable to foreigners in Asia, presence of significant foreign mining companies in the country including Freeport, Rio Tinto, Vale, Newmont, Newcrest. •Strategic Location - Closer to China, India, Japan and Korea than all key mining countries in the world including: Canada, Australia, South Africa and South America.
As part of major changes in the political and economic climate in Indonesia, the government is now placing greater emphasis on developing the mining industry. A sign of this change was the introduction of new Mining Laws in 2009 giving much improved security of tenure to existing tenements and a transparent path towards granting new tenements in the near future. A regulation of the new Mining Law is for all existing Mining Leases (Kuasa Pertambangan or "KP") to be converted to a new legal structure - Mining Business License (Ijin Usaha Pertambangan or "IUP").
Batu Mas
These controls to mineralisation mean that the mineral deposit discovered so far at Batu Mas generally consist of an upper oxide, gold and silver rich cap, which is underlain by polymetallic-bearing breccias containing potentially economic concentrations of gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc.
Batu Hitam
This is the highest-grade zone of deep, primary gold mineralisation intersected in drilling so far and demonstrates the potential of Lakuwahi for deeper, high-grade precious metal mineralisation. The result in LWD108 is significant as it conclusively proves high-grade gold and silver mineralisation can develop under limestone cover.
Batu Jagung
Following the 2011 IP-Resistivity geophysical survey, the Batu Jagung target has been completely reinterpreted and re-evaluated. The extensive anomaly is now assessed as having the potential of a very large body of silver and base metal mineralisation
Batu Perak
It is expected that the Ag-rich mineralisation at Batu Perak will make a significant contribution to the existing resource at Lakuwahi.
Manganese
The majority of the surficial manganese occurs as replacements within limestone, and covers sections of the Batu Hitam and Batu Hitam West JORC mineral resource areas. The strongest manganese mineralisation occurs on the eastern-most line of drilling at Batu Hitam and therefore, in common with the underlying precious and base metal zones, the manganese-rich zone remains open for further discovery and expansion by drilling.
