I am taking a look at this company at the moment, below is what I came up with so far. Can someone with more knowledge of lithium production/exploration pull this apart for me. Cheers
Pros:
-Demand for lithium is set to increase globally
-Three acquired prospects are in close proximity to an existing lithium production facility (so likelihood of brine containing lithium being discovered within the prospects is good)
Neutral:
-Proximity to Tesla factory doesn’t seem to hold any value as the lithium must first be shipped to China for cathode production (read this in an article)
-First hole to be drilled at Columbus Salt Marsh is predominantly to explore an area located 600m – 1000m below the surface. If lithium is found in salt water deposits at this depth it may take significant energy (cost) to pump this water to the surface for the 18-24 month process to begin.
Cons:
-Production of lithium from brine takes 18-24 months from the time the water is pumped to the surface and RLC is still at the exploration stage. More capital will likely be required to build production facilities and therefore more CRs
