You Rivkin Report bashers are the biggest bunch of Harry Hindsights I have ever seen.
You find it so convenient to blame them for their calls of late yet fail to acknowlege the brilliant calls as well that they have made. If we were still and a raging bull market and RAT was $2 by now, I reckon none of you would even bother giving credit to RIVKIN....Blame game instead.
It is a MACRO issue of debt you so easily push aside that has given a massive broadside blow to the global economy and you just expect stocks to always go up in a straight line.
You fail to acknowledge that STOCK SELECTION is only a part of equity investment....CAPITAL ALLOCATION is what really matters.
You are the tool if you placed a massive chunk of your portfolio into RAT and have now (in hindsight) become burnt in the process.
Even when RAT was recommended way back and the global equity fundamentals and real-estate (steady, governmaent leases to be precise) were intact, you should have still only been allocating IMO 5-7% of your portfolio into RAT given it's exposure to the U.S. Anything more would simply be greed chasing yield.
I own RAT. This was ALWAYS a bottom drawer stock and if you entered for another reason then that makes you the tool, not Rivkin.
