Prediction for 2018:

Ripple will overtake Bitcoin as number 1 ranked cryptocurrency. Possible catalysts in coming months:

* Further news on adoption by banks for cheap, rapid and reliable international money transfers. Already in partnership with American Express, and being trialled by several banks including a Japanese consortium. XRP has a killer app, it will save the banks money, no other cryptocurrency has such a strong utility case at present. Could expect news on this front as early as 1Q18.

* Likely addition of XRP trading to Coinbase in January will markedly increase the pool of buyers

* Increased press coverage is highly likely as Ripple approaches value of and then overtakes Bitcoin, which will drive further
interest and gains. It is notable that whilst Bitcoin has had a significant pull back recently that XRP has been surging to new highs, up 10x since early December. Its overall gain for 2017 exceeds that of Bitcoin and Ethereum.

* People will be selling BTC to buy XRP, if I was into shorting then short BTC / long XRP would be a good pairing.

* Current value of all XRP is under $100 billion USD. This compares with $27 trillion USD held in transactional accounts by banks, which would be freed up if XRP were broadly adopted. In this context there is ample scope for the value of XRP to go higher as a source of liquidity.

With the above news flow and people crowding into XRP, I see a very good chance for a multi-bagger, my guess $5-10USD per XRP by mid year. I see a good chance for a multibagger and have allocated part of my 2017 lithium and A2M gains to XRP.
