I think its all well and good to have a dabble and continue to do so as long as you understand its speculation, which we both do.
When the market is hot, if it ever is again, I just buy projects with a promising idea on crappy exchanges people are too afraid of (ether delta) before they hit bigger exchanges. Its worth a look if there is one last pump.
Some ICOs when the first come out dont have their market cap properly circulation... People buy it up not understanding how much they are paying. Hoping for the same stupidity with Bankera because ICO prices is only a couple of cents and many dont understand market cap. "2c is so cheap, bitcoin is $xxxx"...
I think the $100,000 chances are slim. The pump to 20k was based on it becoming mainstream and every man and their dog piling in, that seems to be over now.
