Thanks, this seems to be the same general response I have seen so far on this thread.

The reason that I am interested in Ripple is that they list many members, including Westpac, UBS and AMEX. Ripple is one of the very few alt-coins that BTC markets provide.

With BTC markets do you set up a online wallet or store offline?
Coinspot uses an online wallet, which puts me off a bit.
Would be interested in setting up an offline wallet thingy, locally. Any tips?
A friend of mine has set up a wallet with Gemini, US based I think, but has yet to make his first purchase. Are there any issues with using an offshore service in the US or Europe for Australian residents.
