Now, I will have to go looking, or someone else may have it at hand, but if I recall, the diamonds at the old Rio pits react differently to wavelengths of light that what RIO (and other diamond miners) were using, so hence MED have used a different wavelength to detect the diamonds... hence why there have been finds that RIO didn't "see".
