Share trades like this can happen in a number of ways
1. A buyer purchases the whole 57% stake (normally at a discount to the current share price) or
2. A number of institutions buy the stake and so each get a substantial share holding (normally at a discount to the current share price)
A third option, though rarely used is that it is offered to current shareholders (normally at a discount to the current share price).
These volumes are not normally sold on market as the weight of the number of shares would depress the price too much.
