re: dont get caught in the hype. Hi opaline,
    thanks for your comments.
As an investor in many IPO it is the ones that are run professionally that do reflect the way in which they go forward. With so many companies these days run by individuals who have one purpose and that does not involve building value for others but simply to run a gravy train as long as they can. We look for signs as to there integrity with every move they make.
The fact that the IPO was over subscribed is common place, but the way the company decides how it will go about distributing shares is what truly reflects the morallity of those running it.
It should be all priority Heron holders receive there entiltement with the quantity that was nominated for them. All other applications before offer closed early to be scalled back to fit the required number on an equal basis. Unfortunatly money does talk very loud and although it is not against the law to distribute shares anyway they see fit it is morally wrong if it differs from that at which they marketed the offer and as in the past if enough complaints are made the ASIC have said they will legislate against this type of blatant greed that leaves the public out of the circle.
There are the occasional quality companies that have always maintained a very high degree of integrity and are equally rewarded for the maner in which they are run. One which comes to mind and for which i am a long term supporter is PPC. During there float some time back it was very heavily over subscribed all applicants were equally scaled back and all had equal rights. As you can see PPC has gone from strength to strenth.
As for EPS if you followed the companies advise and brought on market after the float like they have said to all that asked why they received none, you have paid to much and are the reason company exes are paying themselves more than the gdp of many small countries.
The true value of EPS will be shown in time and to be honest it no longer has any interest from me, but good luck to the holders.
There are plenty of small caps that are actually producing and earning money which should be the foundation for which most of these floats live in hope for.

    good trading
