Well, they took 5 days to get from 2867m to 3167m, so that's 300m in 5 days or perhaps just 8 hours drilling time. This interval corresponds with the expected location of the Tikorangi Limestone, and maybe possibly better developed than at Kiwi-1 to the north. Waihapa/Ngaere was a prolific oil producer in the Tikorangi Limestone [onshore], so it definitely is a proven reservoir. But this far out, who would know.
