that"s what worries me about this Banducci character.
he was in control of Woolies prior to his CEO appointment, and what did he actually achieve-nothing.

he even kept the overpaid pommy chef and stuffed the rewards program totally and came up with some bizarre animal stickers as some sort of promotion.

i myself shop at Woolies, and have always found that when the checkouts are getting backed up, the manager will go out of his/her way to alleviate the problem, by calling in more staff from the back room to open new checkouts.


i must admit that when i do shop at Coles , which is only occasionally, this problem never surfaces, as there seems to be more checkouts operating continually.

now, to top it off, we have Mr Turnbull today announcing the reco. of the Harper inquiry as new legislation- Coles and Woolies will have to prove they are not "effecting" the business of smaller players such as Aldi, Costco and IGA and every other little guy.

in other words, you would think Metcash(IGA) would bounce.
it tanked by 3.5% today.
