Imo that view from EDE is either a furphy or a misreading of the Australian market formed 3-5 years ago based on popular wisdom or on limited and/or poor external advice.

The infrastructure build in Sydney over the coming decade is standout global construction activity. Some of the biggest global corporates have been playing the long game and are now honing in on the action, including America’s Bechtel imo.

Imo, its a nonsense to say there is not a commercial market opportunity in Sydney for the decade ahead for a concrete admixture that apparently offers a step change improvement in durability, strength and abrasion resistance.

Tunnels should be a dead set gift for EDE as durable, low permeability concrete for lining is one of the bigger design issues. From the list of projects in the opening post, Sydney has to be close to being the global tunnelling capital over the next decade.

There is simply no plausible excuse for not making targeted high level pitches to about a half dozen Tier 1 contractors and the 3 major concrete suppliers imo.
