When I was in primary school I used to buy soccer magazines and I had a poster of Robbie Slater on my wall in his Blackburn gear... just picked them because he played for them and have supported them ever since.
Agree about many who support the few big clubs... they often choose them when they are winning and don't say much if they have a period where they are not picking up trophies...
