These China-based businesses can be quite odd. Sometimes the market just decides that they are legitimate and all of a sudden they get re-rated and the price jumps.

I have no idea on DFM's underlying business - but the recent chart action is similar to NASDAQ: FANH at the end of last year. I sat on that for 18 months as it ranged between $5 and $7. Then, with a transnational catalyst, which of itself was not remarkable, it shot to $12 then $18 then $27. FANH is a bigger business than DFM and is/was fairy easy to understand and verify. At $5 it was a good buy. It's a different stock and different market to DFM, but the price action has some similarities. (I personally think FANH is fully valued now - so pls don't take this as any sort of "tip" into FANH).

I am not comfortable enough with DFM's business to know whether DFM will hold its gains and extend or whether the current spike is a going to fizzle. Just making a comment on these stocks in general.

I'm holding on for the ride.
