Another problem is that CDA detetors are sooo powerful they can detect a speck of gold about 80-100cm deep. It's not worth digging a metre for something pin head size or even smaller! The African mkt wants a simple basic unit that finds small nuggets. They walk with a spade and sieve. If sound triggers they dig hole, sieve soil, move on. Hence, lower intensity Asian and American stuff at 10-15% of CDA price is suffice. They are not looking for ancient Roman coins worth thousands.
