This is where I prefer the directors to get on with their job, and not try to work/second guess the market (and I fully expect they are, from their history). The market will do its own thing, zinc might go to $1, but might only sit there for a few weeks. A simple release a few days before the end of the month, giving approximate guidance for when to expect the results, would have gone a long way.
