They are solid returns, and if you do that OVERALL any year - I congratulate you!

Mate, I was joking when I said 105x gains (I think most ppl here realise that) as I was merely poking fun at the resident bear. 

I have a traditional portfolio of boring stuff which doesn't deserve comment (property, ASX100, div's etc). Then I have the fun stuff that lights your belly (mostly resources but some FX and exotics too), that's where I mostly post and have fun with. Best year in the fun stuff was eight years ago and overall +300% for the year.

I do have neg years too, it's part of it all when you play with high risk. 

Anyhow, I read your posts a lot (good insight). You're always way more cautious than me though, but if you're only investing in mining (mostly gold), I do understand why!
